Earth Club is also partnering with Northrop Grumann.  We are collecting their cans and bottles and will be using the proceeds to produce tea shirts, water bottles and bags from our Earth Club.  We are hoping to sell them to raise awareness for environmental issues and to fund our on going projects.  We have a large Biosystem that we want to purchase for use in the cafeteria to compost the food waste and we have several beautification projects for the outside we hope to start.

Beginning in October, all water and juice containers are returned  for a $.05 deposit in the state of Connecticut.  Also all plastics #1-7 recycled as well as all mixed paper, cardboard, magazines and newspapers.

Earth Club will be happy to receive your deposit containers.  Drop them off in D House at Norwalk High School.

With the flu season upon us there are some simple things we can all do to stay healthy:

Wash hands frequently. Soap and water are fine, doesn't have to be hot water.  Waterless soaps and antibacterials are fine also.

Wipe down phones, computer key boards and desks with alcohol based wipes Get plenty of sleep Get plenty of exercise outside in the sunshine, even if it is a walk around the block. We need the vitamin D and the stress relief Eat healthful, regular meals.  Don't skip breakfast and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Drink water and avoid over sugared/ caffeinated drinks.

We are all in this together.
